After stripping and waterproofing earlier in the week, the excavation contractor cleaned up the site, backfilled up to the exterior of the walls, and placed, spread, and compacted fill inside the foundation walls up to the elevation at which the HVAC duct trunks will be set. Because of the floodplain condition, a special flood/water-proof duct system called BlueDuct will be set under the crawlspace slab. Additional fill be brought in once the BlueDuct has been installed to take us up to slab elevation.
