A 1990 gallon (because at 2000 gallons, a whole other set of regulations come into play) propane tank was set in place today and secured with galvanized steel straps anchored to the concrete slab to keep it from floating away in a flood. Four sacrificial anode bags containing zinc, magnesium, and aluminum were wired to and buried along side the tank. The anode bags attract and absorb stray electric currents in the soil and groundwater, protecting the tank from untimely rust and corrosion.
