Tuff-N-Dri

Using a pressurized spray gun, an asphalt membrane called Tuff-N-Dri was applied to the exterior of the foundation wall and the top of the footing. The 40 mils thick (when dry) membrane creates a vapor barrier able to hold back up to 8 feet of water under hydrostatic pressure.

3/4"-thick fiberglass boards (the orange panels) called Warm-N-Dri were then applied to protect the membrane from damage caused by back-filling and to provide an R-3 insulation value.
